Norberto Pizano was born December 16, 1943 and went home to be with the lord and savior August 14, 2018 with his family by his side.
Norberto was the oldest of 10 children born to Vicente and Olivia Pizano in Casacuaran, Mexico. It was there he met the love of his life Maria Garcia and they married December 30, 1964.
He started working for the railroad and moved to Dunsmuir, California where he made his home and raised his 5 children.
He retired from the railroad in 2004 and began enjoying his summers in Dunsmuir and his winters in Mexico.
Norberto loved spending time with his family and friends, wood cutting, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Pizano; children: Nolberto Pizano of Lodi, California, Patricia (Jesse) Ibarra of Lodi, California, Raul (Tia) Pizano of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Mario (Brittany Holzem) Pizano of Redding, California, and Carlos (Alicia) Pizano of Redding, California; siblings: Angelia (Robert) Munoz of Mexicali, Mexico, Pastor (Nena) Pizano of Ridley, California, Adolpho (Gloria) Pizano of Mexicali, Mexico, Jimmy (Suzanna) Pizano of Mexicali, Mexico, Jose Luis (Eli) Pizano of Mexicali, Mexico, Vicente (Marie) Pizano of Mexicali, Mexico, Serafin (Socorro) Pizano of Mexicali, Mexico, and Martin (Socorro) Pizano of Ridley, California; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous special lifelong friends.
He was proceeded in death by his mother and father.
The family will be having a celebration of life for him on Saturday, September 1 at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Catholic Church in Dunsmuir, California. A small reception will follow in the church reception hall.
