Raynaldo "Ray" Lozano 66 of Weed, Ca. went to heaven August 12th 2018.
Ray was born April 8th 1952 in Ukiah, Ca to Pedro and Isabella Lozano. He was 1 of 6 boys and he had 5 sisters. He married his high school sweetheart Kathy in 1970. Ray worked at the mill while Kathy cared for their firstborn daughter Sheri before moving to Siskiyou County in 1971. There they lived along the Klamath River and then moved to Yreka, CA where Ray worked for various logging companies when they welcomed their second daughter Shelly in 1973. From 1972-1979, Ray #81 became one of the top drivers at the Siskiyou Speedway. Ray and his family moved to Redwood Valley, CA in 1980 where he worked for a highway construction company as an electrician apprentice. During this time, he also raced at the Ukiah Speedway and later became the pitman for his grandson Johnny. Ray and Kathy moved to Weed, CA in 2015 after years of commuting to work the winter wreath season at the Dawson Wreath Barn with their long time friends of 43 year.
Ray loved fishing, camping, hunting, mushrooming, building, construction, NASCAR, the SF Giants, SF 49ers and helping others in any way that he could. Ray made friends everywhere he went. His caring and happy nature touched the lives of everyone he met.
Ray loved his family and was so proud of his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for all their accomplishments. He may be gone but never forgotten.
His legacy continues through his wife Kathy of 48 years. His daughter Sheri, and her children; Johnny, Joey, and Taylor. His daughter Shelly, and her children; Thomas, Wyatt, Nicolas, Isabella, Jefferson and Roco, and 2 great grandchildren, Natalie and Koba Lozano.
We pray that someday they will find a cure for cancer!!
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at The Wayside Church 1147 Church St. Weed, CA on September 9, 2018 at 3pm
