An amazing woman passed from this life early Sunday Morning. Charlotte was born at home in McArthur, Ca. to Dora and Kenneth Carpenter. She was loved and respected by her siblings, Larry (Judy) Carpenter, Calvin (Linda) Carpenter, Caroline Gieger, Betty (Bill) Stoltenberg, Gordon (Claire) Carpenter. She served in the Army during Vietnam era, in Oklahoma and was honorably discharged. Married her best friend Michael Landon March 15, 1974, Reno NV. They started their family in Redding, the joys of her life were her children, Dusty (Misty) Landon, Patty (Jeremy) NeVille, Kathleen (Chris) Erickson, Michael (Holly) Landon. She Served her community as a 4-H Leader for 32 years.
She was a faithful member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There was nothing she couldn’t do, or anything she wouldn’t try. A truly selfless angel, with many talents she shared being basketball, sewing, card playing, hosting, and attending ball games. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Laura, and sister Berta. She leaves to mourn her loss 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and innumerable friends.
Viewing to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday February 1st, 9 am, funeral services at 11 am.
