Jay Banner
On Monday, May 24, 2021, Jay Banner, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 66 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Ca. Jay, and his wife have lived here in Siskiyou County for 31 years.
Jay was born on April 15, 1955, in San Rafael, Ca., to Eric and Grace Banner. On April 12, 1980, he married Ellen Carol Berger, of Novato, Ca., they were married for 41 years. They raised their son, Eric Benjamin Banner here in Mount Shasta, he is now 27 years old.
Jay was always ready with a joke, he was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He was very much loved and will truly be missed.
Jay is survived by his wife Ellen, his son Eric, his brother Jack Perry, of San Rafael, Ca., and his sister Susan Samorano, of Vancouver, WA.
