Patrick Robert Hallacy
Mt. Shasta - Patrick Robert Hallacy left this life on July 24, 2021 at the age of 71 years. Born in Pittsburg, Kansas to James and Ella Hallacy, he has called Mount Shasta his home since 1985 when he and his wife Penny moved here. Pat loved exploring, hiking, and swimming all over Siskiyou County and was a true adventurer at heart. He will forever be remembered for his love of nature, his unwavering selflessness towards others, and his ability to make everyone feel truly at home.
Pat served in the US Army Infantry during the Vietnam War in 1969 and continued his service to the public as a mental health professional for many years after. Penny and Pat met in 1982 and have been together for 39 years, during which they traveled the country and went on countless adventures. His knowledge of all things rock, garden, and weather related continue to inspire the people closest to him and his calm humor will be missed the most.
Pat is survived by his wife Penny Huleatt, daughter Jessica Bogardus, granddaughter Cora Fesler, siblings Dan, Tim, and Sheila Hallacy, and numerous nieces and nephews across the country.
A celebration of life will be held outdoors next spring, once the heat and smoke have subsided; details will be announced closer to that time. A special thank you goes out to Mercy Mt. Shasta Hospice and the Yreka VA Clinic for the care and support provided to Pat and his family in the last stages of his life.
