Charlie was the first family member to attend college and majored in Civil Engineering at Chico State. In 1949 Charlie met Doris Helen Leonard & Charlie fell hook line and sinker in love. Charlie and Doris married on March 17th (St, Patrick's Day) 1951 and in subsequent years had 2 children Ann & Charlie. Charlie transferred to the University Of Nevada in Reno where he graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree. Both retired in 1995 & have remained residents of Mount Shasta since arriving the Winter of 1962,

Trying to describe Charlie as a Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great Grandfather & friend would be like trying to explain to a 3 year old the Theory Of Relativity! Charlie was the Rock, Mortar and Arbiter of the family right to the end of his days on this earth. Those that knew Charlie knew that when asked, How are you Charlie? The answer was always DANDY!!!

Charlie's life was made complete through the love of the Lord. The Lord was Charlie's Solace through rough and difficult times. Charlie leaves his Wife, Children, Grand Children, Great Grand Children & a multitude of close individual and family friends. Dad will be waiting for Doris, sitting on a Rock right inside The Pearly Gates. That has always been Dad's vision once he passed & knowing Dad that is exactly where Mom will find him. "God Is Good All The Time!"

Due to recent COVID activity a date has not been set for Charlie's Celebration of Life Service. The family will update that service date in a future publication of the Herald. The family urges those that feel it appropriate to send flowers, please use those funds to support our valiant Fire Fighters! Thank You!!
