Gloria S. Lilley
After reaching her 100 year milestone on August 8, 2021, Gloria S. Lilley passed away on October 1, 2021. She was born in Pasadena, California, to Joseph & Lillian Streff on August 8, 1921, and was reared in Pasadena with her younger brother Robert In 1943 Gloria joined the Navy as a Wave and worked in the Communication's Department in Washington D.C. On June 1, 1945 she married her longtime friend and sweetheart, Forrest S. Lilley. She was honorably discharged from the Navy and the newly married couple moved to Cordell, Oklahoma. After WW II, Forrest & Gloria moved back to California and settled in Monrovia to start their family. In 1963 the Lilley family decided to make a life-changing trek to Weed, California, to open a Western Auto Store. Gloria & Forrest resided in Weed for the remainder of their years. Gloria was an active member as a scout leader with the Brownies, Guardian of Bethel 13, Jobe's Daughters and served with Mercy Medical Center Volunteers for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Lillian, brother Robert, husband of 73 years Forrest, and younger son Forrest Jr. She is survived by son Steven (Miriam), daughter Claudia Trevisan (David), seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A celebration of life is planned for October 23, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at David & Claudia Trevisan's home.
