“The Chimney Doctor,” Steve McAnelly-Short, passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, November 25, 2021 while he was out 4-wheeling. He was just shy of 50 years old.

Steve was born on December 16, 1971 to Steven McAnelly and Patricia Yeager-Jazewski in Lakewood, California. Steve had a wild side that filled his life with joy and thrills. He loved his family and friends fiercely. He would help anyone in need. He loved to go snowboarding, ride motorcycles, travel, tinker with RC cars, and have outdoor adventures. He owned The Chimney Doctor with his wife, where he spent the past 25 years on many roofs caring for the chimneys and their owners in Siskiyou county.
