Mary Elizabeth Hall was born to father Paul G. Guerra and mother, Rosie A. Guerra on February 17th, 1950. She passed to the light of her Lord on April 3rd, 2022 at her Home in Weed, California after a long illness. Mary was able to share her Death Experience with family and friends as she shared her Life Experience. Filled with love and laughter.
Mary was born in Weed, California. She attended the Weed School system, graduating in 1968. She retired as the Weed Elementary School District Confidential Secretary in 2007, after 28 years of service. Stories of her warm but competent ability to handle stressful situations with kindness and grace continue to be shared. All children who passed through the office were greeted with respect, concern and love. She literally has hundreds of former students that she has had a profound impact on that consider her as a friend and a mentor. “To Know Mary was to Love her”.
Mary married her life-long partner Bob Hall in 1968, while he was serving in the United States Army. They welcomed daughter Bobbie Marie Hall on April 12th 1969 and Son Paul Jason Hall on February 26th 1972. Mary was the oldest sibling of 4 children. Her maternal instinct started at a very young age. She continued her mothering role, with truly unconditional love for her children: Bobbie and PJ, Grandsons: Spencer, Devin, Blake and Dominic. And up to her passing, Great Grandsons Kayson and Hayden. Her love was the emotional glue that held not only her immediate family together, but also permeated the families of her brother and sisters.
Mary was a devoted mother and an avid tole painter(especially Santa’s), expert quilter and knitter among her many creative talents. In younger years she competed in 7 half marathons, enjoyed hiking and camping with family and friends. She loved traveling to Mexico with neighbors Juan and Socorro Sanchez. She loved the family-oriented culture. She was a spiritual woman involved in the lives of almost all who came in contact with her.
Mary is survived by her husband of 53 years Bob Hall, daughter Bobbie M. Hall, son PJ Hall, Grandsons: Spencer and Layla Hall, Devin Hall, Blake Lane, Dominic Hall, Great Grandsons: Kayson Hall and Hayden Hall. Sister: Rosanna(Guerra) and Phil Alvarado, sister Kelly(Guerra) and Gary Groppi. Brother: Joe and Diana Guerra.
Mary’s funeral services were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church April 23, 2022, followed by a great meal the at Parish Hall. Her family gives enormous thanks to Father Mario Valmorida, the Ladies of the Bereavement Group and James Dalin for all their support and help through these challenging days.
We also want to thank all those who sent flowers and support and especially those who attended mass and those who came to Mary’s Celebration of Life Party, held at the Weed Golf Course.
