Edward Patrick "Pat" Lee entered eternal life on January 23, 2022. He was born on June 21, 1933 in Seattle, Washington, to William George and Ada (Burdett) Lee. His father's death, when he was 13 years old, necessitated a move to California. He attended Mt Diablo High School in Concord. At the age of 18, Pat enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Florida, as a jet mechanic. In 1957 he joined the California Highway Patrol, eventually settling in Mt Shasta as the Supervisor of the Inspection and Weigh Station. Pat went on to build his own home. He enjoyed the process so much that he built two more. When asked how he knew how to build a house, he replied, "I read how in a book I ordered."
Pat married his devoted wife, Patricia Jackson Aiello, of Edgewood, on July 14, 1983. After retiring from the CHP, he began a second career as a cattle rancher in Montague.
Pat loved ranching, riding his favorite horse, Gypsy, to the Marble Mtns.,fishing in McCloud, watching westerns, and hosting steak barbecues. He never missed a Notre Dame game, always rooting for The Fighting Irish. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. Go Irish!
Pat and Trisha traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. They loved to entertain, enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with their grandchildren.
Pat was predeceased by his loving wife Trisha, his granddaughter Jennifer Lee Walker, brothers Bob and Terry Lee, sister Marguerite Klein, his half brother and sisters Joe Lee, Gladys Sicheneder, and Irene Stanich.
He is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his six children: Tricia (Dan) Mikeska, Bill Lee, James (Lynn) Lee, Kathy (Ron) Lininger, Tim (Jenny) Lee, and Ed (Heather) Lee. He also leaves his grandchildren: Danielle Kyman, Cierra Crandall, Tiffany Lee, Nate Lee, Christiana Evans, Skylar Lininger, Jenna Lee, Megan Lee and step grandsons Adam and Anthony Adams.
