The Wind beneath Our Wings

Josephine Hansen passed away on June 7th, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Josephine was born March 7, 1930 to Mathias and Eva Feist on the Feist Farm in Linton, North Dakota. She grew up on the farm with her 9 brothers and sisters.

When Jo was 20 years old, she left Linton to visit her aunt in Paradise, California. While she was there, she began working at a bowling alley where she met Delbert Hansen. They were married on September 19, 1953 and had nine children: Colleen, John, Doug, Dennis, Mary, Rita, Lynn, Danny, and Darryl.

Josephine loved dancing, singing, bowling, yardwork, chopping wood, playing cards, listening to polka music, baking for her family, and watching all of her loved ones sporting events.

Josephine was an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She belonged to various committees and could always be counted upon to contribute baked goodies to church functions.

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Del, and 3 children.

Josephine is survived by 2 sisters, 6 children, 4 daughters in law, 2 sons in law, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

You have always been the wind beneath my wings, lifting us up when we needed help or advice or our burdens became too heavy. It is your time to rest now. Always in our hearts and prayers.
