Mary Ellen Abreu, a resident of Mt. Shasta since 1980, went to be with her Lord on June 19, 2022 after battling Alzheimers. Mary Ellen was also known as “Pat” and “TuTu”. She was born on April 4, 1943 in Vallejo, CA and moved to Mt. Shasta in 1980 with Dennis, her husband, and their 2 daughters.
TuTu is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dennis; her two daughters, Nancy Fontenot (Slick) of Minden, NV; and Jennifer Abreu of San Diego, CA; and son-in-law, Tim Green (Marie) of Weed. She had 7 grandchildren – Matthew Lillywhite (Monica) of Honolulu, HI; Melissa Garcia of Minden, NV; Joshua Lillywhite (Alicia) of Stagecoach, NV; Spencer Abreu of Lake Shastina; Jacob Green of Mt. Shasta; Madison Green of Mt. Shasta; and Molly Green of Weed. She also had 4 great grandchildren.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Shasta and enjoyed shopping, socializing with her friends, and spending time with family.
She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Shasta, located at 812 Lassen Ln., Mt. Shasta.
