Glenda Gay Ameen née Alexander passed away October 29, 2022.
Glenda was born January 17, 1954 in Klamath Falls Or. to Nola and Earl Alexander. She attended schools in Mt. Shasta, Weed and Santa Clara.
She worked as a waitress for many years starting at the “Breakfast House” in Mt. Shasta, the Piemont, where she amazed patrons by taking dinner and drink orders numbering into the teens without writing anything down and serving the order without error. She also worked for and ran Silva’s Restaurant in later years and at the College of the Siskiyous.
Glenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed reading, gardening and she was very capable at many art forms, although her favorite was pottery. She spent many enjoyable days in her studio throwing clay on her wheel and firing her kiln. She was such a giving person, very adventurous, extremely hard working, she possessed a quick wit and a great sense of humor. She always put the needs of others first.
She was preceded in death her parents Nola and Ed Silva, her father Earl Alexander, sisters Terry Greene, Rhonda Massengill, stepbrother Art Silva and nephew Michael Alexander.
She is survived by her husband Sol of 37 years, son Joseph, sisters Brenda Sedin (Joe), Cindy Schultz (John), niece Mellissa Brophy (Pat), Cristin Harryman (Rob), Kelly Saad (Mike), nephews Garrett Greene (Kaci), David Wall and many more nieces, nephews and friends. She is and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
