The world was blessed with Al’s presence from July 10th, 1949 to March 23rd, 2023. He leaves behind his wife Beverly and children Heri “Eddie”, Dee Dee, Gilbert, Rick, David, Marcus, and Troy. He was preceded in death by his loving son Alex. As a long time resident of Siskiyou County, many people will remember Al’s smiling face as he delivered fuel to many locations throughout the area. He spent his time on earth in service to others whether through his enlistment in the United States Air Force or simply shoveling snow for a neighbor. He lived by three very simple rules of advice: 1. Anything worth having is worth working hard for. 2. Never pass on an opportunity to help someone in need when you have the means to do so. 3. There are only two ways to do things…right and again. As a husband, his love and adoration for Beverly never wavered and only grew stronger over their 42 years of marriage. As a father, he gave the clearest example of what one should be. He instilled discipline as needed but always showed love and compassion to all of his children. While we may all miss Al’s presence, he will always live on through the many great memories of a truly wonderful person. As we continue on with our own journeys, please remember Al’s advice for life. If you do that, you will have the same impact on the world that he had. Until we meet again, may he enjoy peace in the presence of the Lord.
