Julia Hough

Julia Hough, AKA Speed or Grandma JuJu, passed away March 31, 2023 at the age of 94. Julia was born in McCloud, California and spent most of her childhood there until the family moved to Mt. Shasta. In high school she met Lonzo Hough and they eventually married in 1949. They stayed in Mt. Shasta where Lonzo worked as a timber faller and Julia worked various jobs in town. They raised three children; Jolie Alcouffe, Danelle Cascarina (John), and Jeff Hough. Julia loved family get togethers and visits from her children, five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by Lonzo (1995) and Jeff (2013). Those of us left behind will miss her dearly and will always have the many wonderful memories to last us our lifetimes.
