Betty L. Crowe was born June 7, 1939, and went to Heaven February 10, 2021.

Born in Decatur, Texas to Alice and Reeves Hale who preceded her. Betty also had an older brother Charles and a younger sister Ruby who also preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her long-time husband, Mitchell and her older sister Dorothy, who lives in Dunsmuir.

Betty attended Castle Rock Elementary School and Dunsmuir High School graduating from Shasta High School in 1957. She met her husband Mitch Crowe in the 8th grade and they were married on July 27, 1958, a marriage lasting 62 and one half years.

Betty and Mitch had 3 children, Dean, Denise, and Darla, have four grand-kids, and three great-grand-kids.

Living in Castella, Betty was employed by Pacific Telephone and the U.S Postal Service, and she owned a clothing store with her mother-in-law Frances Crowe. Moved to Redding in the fall of 1980, Betty was employed by ATT telephone, worked in Real Estate, Ross Stores, gLoralie Originals customer service, and Shasta College Admissions before finally retiring in 2013.

Betty loved to travel in their motor home, boating on Shasta and Trinity lakes, as well as gardening and working in her yard. She also belonged to Prayers and Squares at Redding Christian Fellowship and loved working with the children at RCF. Betty loved spending time and doing things with her kids and grandkids.

Betty loved life and will be missed, not forgotten. The family wishes to thank Mercy Med Hospice for all the loving care that was given. There will be a celebration of life at Redding Christian Fellowship, 2157 Victor Avenue, Redding, California on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.
