The Siskiyous American Legion Post 122 U19 baseball squad bounced back from a tough weekend tourney by downing Klamath Falls 7-3 Wednesday at Hibbard Field in Yreka. Siskiyous improved to 6-3 overall. This past weekend, the squad went 1-3 at a tournament in Eugene, Ore.  "We played well today," head coach Jake Wilson said. Wilson stated that he was proud of the way the squad was focused versus Klamath Falls and believes the team is back on track after starting the year 4-0. "I think today's game proved what we're capable of," he said. Kekai Ferguson earned the win for Siskiyous and pitched 4.3 innings, finishing with four strikeouts, while giving up three hits. Wilson added that he was pleased with how well the bullpen pitched and was able to to have six pitchers on the mound on Wednesday. Kaden Wood went 2-for 4 with a double. Kaden Riccomini finished 1-for-1 with two walks. He hit a double with the bases loaded to bring in two runs. Nolan Johnson finished 2-for-3 with a double, a single, and an RBI. Siskiyous has a big weekend coming up as they travel to Eureka for five games. Friday, they will face a squad from Australia in doubleheader action. Saturday, Siskiyous faces Southern Humboldt in a doubleheader in league action.  Siskiyous is currently 2-0 in league play. Sunday, Siskiyous will face another squad from Australia.
