The COS men’s team qualified for the Northern California Regional Championships, which is set for this Friday at Toro Park in Salinas.

The College of the Siskiyous men’s cross country team finished third at the Golden Valley Conference Championships  on Friday, Nov. 2 at Butte College.  Blake Chitwood finished second with a 21:07 time, losing by only four seconds. Ryan Hering saved his best race of the year for the conference meet, finishing fourth in 21:18, running 1:40 faster than his previous best 4-mile time. Logan Van Sickle was fifth in 21:32.

Hope Dodgen led for most of the race but misjudged the finish line and was passed by a Butte runner. “She still got second after a long season of battling injury. So proud of her,” said Eagle XC coach Katie Woodward.
Miranda Linker finished the 5K in 22:01, an improvement of 1:30 over her previous season best.
