Along with Siskiyou County school Mount Shasta High, four other schools are competing in the North Division this season.

The 2020 season for the North Division High School Alpine season got underway at the Mt. Shasta Ski Resort Monday.

The event was held in thick fog, followed by wind and snow.

Snowboarders and ski boarders took part in the Giant Slalom and the Snowboarders Slalom. Along with Siskiyou County school Mount Shasta High, four other schools are competing in the North Division this season. They are Redding area schools Shasta, Enterprise and Foothill,  while Red Bluff is also competing. Weed High School discontinued its Alpine Program  

In the (GS) ski division, Bryce Harkness and Ian Anderson of Mount Shasta placed second and third in the men's divisions, while Sydney Chase of MSHS was third for the women. In snowboard, Tate Harkness of Mount Shasta was first for the women.  JT Kennedy and Ethan Weaver placed second and third for the Mount Shasta men.

Racing continues this Monday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mt. Shasta Ski Resort.
