Cannabis Open House and Industry Discussion to be held in Mt. Shasta
The City of Mt. Shasta Planning Department will host an open house and panel discussion on the cannabis industry on Sunday, Dec. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. in the City Park Upper Lodge.
City Planner Juliana Lucchesi said the event is open to the public and is part of the City’s “Planning outreach and education concerning the cannabis industry.”
As outlined in a press release, the event will begin with a presentation of common cannabis industry terms, City of Mt. Shasta regulations, and types of products available for medical and adult-use.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion involving cannabis industry facility managers, a healthcare professional, and local law enforcement. The panel will allow for individuals to submit questions to a facilitator about the industry and concerns they may have. Questions may be submitted ahead of time by emailing Juliana Lucchesi at email@example.com
Time for “casual discussions between the public, panelists, and the City of Mt. Shasta” will follow the facilitated discussion.
The event will also host booths with information about cannabis packaging and labeling and public health concerns surrounding cannabis use.
The presentation and panelist discussion will be recorded and live-streamed via the City Streaming website: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/d3kreevpzCD. The recording is expected to be posted within 72 hours of the event on the steaming website.
The City of Mt. Shasta Cannabis Webpage has been updated to include information on responsible cannabis use and public health concerns of youth access to recreational cannabis products. The page also includes information on personal cannabis gardens in the City and ways to accommodate neighbors while growing.
