Art exhibit at Weed library features 18 Mamedalin paintings

Weed artist Suzanne Mamedalin currently has a show of 18 paintings at the Weed library.

Suzanne works in mediums including watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and encaustic; she creates rich, colorful, textural pieces. Her experimentation with techniques and materials “results in fascinating and evocative images,”?according to a press release.

A reception for Mamedalin, sponsored by Weed Friends of the Library, Siskiyou Arts Council, and Cover2Cover is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the library.

The exhibit will be up until the end of June.

This is the third in a series of displays by local artists at the Weed library. Library hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The library is located in the Great Northern building at 780 S. Davis, next to the School Hill Wellness Center.
