Today's News: Our Take - Ratings: NCIS Scores Second-Largest Audience Ever
NCIS surged to its second-biggest audience ever Tuesday.
The CBS hit snagged 22.3 million viewers and a 3.8 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up 9 percent from last week. The audience falls just shy of the 22.8 million mark the show set for a Season 8 episode two years ago. Lead-outs NCIS: Los Angeles (17.5 million, 2.7) and Vegas (11 million, 1.6) were down and even, respectively.

NBC took second behind CBS, with Go On (4.3 million, 1.7) rebounding from a series low. The New Normal (3.2 million, 1.3) and Parenthood (4.9 million, 1.9) were flat.
On ABC, Happy Endings (3 million, 1.3) was down, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (2.7 million, 1.1) was steady, while the penultimate episode of Private Practice(4 million, 1.2) grew a tenth.
Fox's comedy lineup continued to struggle, as all four shows posted a sub-2.0 rating.
