Today's News: Our Take - Court Orders Inquiry Into Paris Jackson’s Welfare
A day after 15-year-old Paris Jackson attempted suicide this week, a California judge ruled Thursday that an investigation be conducted into the child's welfare, as well as that of her two brothers, the Associated Press reports. The filing was first reported by TMZ.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff solicited an investigator's report into Jackson's health, education and welfare, and to determine if changes need to be made.
Jackson was taken by ambulance from her home Wednesday to the hospital after attempting to kill herself.
It is Beckloff's second inquiry in as many years for the Jackson children. Their situation was reviewed in 2012 to determine whether the Jackson house and Katherine and T.J. Jackson's co-guardianship were appropriate for Paris, brother Prince Michael, and brother Blanket. Although the findings from the report were not released, the judge apparently did not see the need to remove the children from their family home.
