Almost Human got off to a strong start Sunday.

Benefiting from a football lead-in, the sci-fi drama drew 9.1 million viewers and a 3.1 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, making it the top-rated series of the night and Fox's second-best debut this season after Sleepy Hollow. Lead-outs The Simpsons (4.1 million, 1.8) and Family Guy (4.3 million, 2.2) were flat and up, respectively.

25 unnecessary spin-offs

NBC won the night with Sunday Night Football (25.1 million, 9.1).

On ABC, Once Upon a Time (6.6 million, 1.9) dropped two tenths to hit a series low, while Revenge (5.8 million, 1.5) and Betrayal (3.4 million, 0.8) both inched up.

CBS' lineup was all down a few tenths from last week's football-inflated numbers.
