Ratings: Jimmy Fallon Scores Second-Biggest Tonight Show Audience in Five Years
Fallon's midnight debut earned 11.3 million viewers and a 3.8 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, trailing the 14.64 million who tuned in for Jay Leno's second exit earlier this month and the 11.9 million Leno drew for his first exit in May 2009. Its demo rating is also the show's highest since Conan O'Brien's last show (4.4) in January 2010 and makes the episode the highest-rated Monday Tonight Show since the Johnny Carson tribute episode (4.8) in January 2005.
In prime time, the Winter Olympics dominated with 23.5 million viewers and a 5.6 demo, up from its Sunday and Vancouver second Monday numbers.
