Mount Shasta's Fourth of July celebration is back! Here's the schedule of events

Update, June 28: Fireworks display is off
Mount Shasta city officials have decided to cancel the Fourth of July fireworks display due to weather conditions and the Lava Fire. The "party in the park" planned at Shastice is "still a go," said organizer Tom Haistings.
Original Story
After a year’s hiatus, Mount Shasta’s big Fourth of July celebration is back in 2021.
Although the Mountain Runner’s traditional run/walk will be held virtually, much of the town’s traditional festivities will make a comeback this year, said Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce executive director Kaila Burns.
One big change: the fireworks display will be held at Shastice Park. The 18-minute “sky concert” will be preceded by a “party in the park” with live music, food, and a beer garden.
Simultaneous to the city’s Fourth of July events, the Mt. Shasta Ski Park is opening for its summer operations, said the park’s general manager, Jim Mullins. They’ll be open on the Fourth for mountain biking, disc golf, hiking, a barbecue and live music.
