UPDATE: These Siskiyou County restaurants serve holiday dinners on Christmas

Here are Siskiyou County restaurants that will open their doors on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Some prepare holiday dinner menu options for children and vegetarians as well as traditional ham, turkey or prime rib meals.

Masking and social distancing practices may change during the COVID pandemic. Call ahead before you leave to confirm a restaurant's policies haven't changed.

Dunsmuir

Railroad Park Resort at 100 Railroad Park Road is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 24. The menu includes prime rib dinners for $44. No reservations are required. Call 530-235-4440.

Penny's Diner at 4000 Siskiyou Ave., open 24 hours, is serving holiday ham dinners from 11 a.m. on Dec. 24 until 8 p.m. on Dec. 25. Cost is $20 per person, with family deals available. No reservations are required. Call 530-235-4100, extension 0.

Montague 

UPDATE: Maiyaj Asian Bistro at 155 S. 11th St. in Montague is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 for holiday dinners. It's also open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. No reservations are required. Call 530-459-9003.

Mount Shasta

The Black Bear Diner at 401 W. Lake St. will serve holiday ham and prime rib dinners from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 25. Prices start at $22. No reservations are required. Call 530-926-4669.

The Tree House Restaurant in the Best Western at 111 Morgan Way is serving holiday dinners on Dec 25 and its regular entrees on Dec. 24. Staff were still deciding the menu and times as of Friday, so call for more information at 530-926-3101.

Highland House Restaurant in the Mount Shasta Resort at 1000 Siskiyou Lake Blvd. serves holiday dinners from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 24. Meals include holiday specials ranging from $25 to $35. Reservations are recommended. Call 530-926-3030, extension 1.

Yreka

The Black Bear Diner at 1795 S. Main St. is open for holiday dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 25. Entrees include ham, prime rib and turkey. Prices range from $22 to $26. No reservations are required. Call 530-842-9324.
