Take your pick of North State restaurants that serve Thanksgiving feasts or carry-out for drumsticks without pot-scrubbing drudgery.

Chefs are preparing special holiday dinner menus for you and your family on Thursday, Nov. 24 — Thanksgiving Day.

Some have children's menus and vegetarian options, as well as traditional turkey, ham or other entrees. Some also prepare to-go parcels for pickup.

Axe & Rose Public House/Sage Restaurant at McCloud Hotel

424 Main St., McCloud

The Axe & Rose will serve a four-course meal from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Entrée choices are turkey prime rib or salmon. Cost is $59, $29 for ages 11 and younger.

The Sage Restaurant will serve a traditional Cornish game hen holiday entrée for $39 and regular menu items from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Black Bear Diner

401 W. Lake St., Mount Shasta

Black Bear in Mount Shasta will serve holiday meals from 11 a.m. to at least 6 p.m. Entrees are prime rib, roasted turkey and holiday ham, part of a three-course dinner menu with soup or salad and pumpkin pie. Carry out is available. Prices are $25 to $28. Also on the menu are children's meals and smaller portion meals. Pre-ordering is recommended. 2605 Hilltop Drive, Redding

Black Bear Diner in Redding serves a special Thanksgiving menu from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrees include oven-roasted turkey, ham and prime rib dinner. Dinners include soup or salad, sides, a cornbread muffin and a slice of pumpkin pie. Carry out is available. Pricing range from $25 to $28. No reservations are accepted. Service gets busy fast, so come sometime before you wish to start eating. Turkey and ham family meals to go cost $57 to $63. 1795 S. Main St., Yreka

C.R. Gibbs American Grille

2300 Hilltop Drive, Redding

This restaurant serves a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner with trimmings with pumpkin pie from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sides include green beans and Yukon Gold mash potatoes. Carry out is available. Cost is $42 for adults, $26 for children ages 6 to 12 years old. Dinner is free to ages 5 and younger with a paying adult. Reservations are recommended; required for parties with six or more people. The regular menu isn’t available on Thanksgiving. Space is filling up, so call as early as possible, restaurant staff said. Call 530-221-2335.

The Hi Lo Café

88 South Weed Blvd., Weed

Hi Lo Café will offer holiday meals for carry out with pickup from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entrees include a traditional turkey dinner with sides, roll and pumpkin pie. Cost is $24 per meal. All meals must be pre-ordered. The café is also serving their regular menu items from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 530-938-2904.

Jefferson's Roadhouse

1281 S. Main St., Yreka

Jefferson’s will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are required. Prices for dinners start around $24, with special prices for seniors starting at $19 and for children starting at $12. Call 530-842-9866 to reserve a table. Lumberjack’s Restaurant

501 E. Cypress Ave., Redding

Lumberjack's will serve holiday meals from about 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. along with regular menu items. Dinner is turkey, prime rib or ham with soup or salad, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mixed vegetables, a roll and pumpkin pie. There’s also a senior’s menu. Carry out and delivery are available. Costs range from $20 to $31, with special prices for seniors starting at $17.49. No reservation is required. The restaurant opens at 6 a.m. Call 530-223-2820 for more information.

Mosaic Restaurant

826 Sundial Bridge Drive, Redding

Mosaic is serving holiday dinners from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The regular menu isn't available on Thanksgiving. Instead, a four-course Thanksgiving dinner features a choice of turkey, braised short ribs or vegetarian entrée with sides, soup or salad, and dessert, including apple and golden raisin cobbler or pumpkin roll. Cost is $75 per person; children are $35. There’s also a $35 wine pairing available. Children’s entrees are turkey and gravy or fried chicken macaroni and cheese. Reservations are required. Railroad Park Resort

Rain Rock Casino Restaurant

777 Casino Way, Yreka

Rain Rock serves holiday dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Entrees include turkey, pork tenderloin, prime rib, blackened salmon and shrimp scampi. The price for a full dinner with soup or salad are $28. Desserts, including pumpkin or pecan pie, pumpkin cheesecake and other treats, cost $6 each. Reservations are recommended. Seasons Restaurant at Win-River Resort and Casino

2100 Redding Rancheria Road, Redding

Seasons hosts its Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 4 p.m. at the resort. It includes a traditional turkey dinner, a prime rib carving station and other seafood, meats and sides. Non-alcoholic beverages and desserts are included in the price. Minimum party size is six people. Cost for a table of six is $220. Reservations are strongly recommended. Children ages 5 and younger eat free with a paying adult. Call 530-243-3377 and ask for the River Club.
