Siskiyou Arts Council announces 2013 exhibit schedule
Siskiyou Arts Council Gallery & Cultural Center in downtown Mount Shasta recently released the following schedule for its 2013 exhibits:

January 22 through February 18 – Jonathan Dixon: Opening: Friday, Jan 25, 5 to 8 pm.
February 19 through March 4 – "Self-Portrait," a members-only show. Drop off date: Monday, Feb. 18, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: Friday, Feb. 22, 5 to 8 pm.
March 4 through 18 – "Mountain Runners July 4th Fun Run/Walk T-Shirt Design Contest." Drop off date: Monday, Feb. 25 through Friday, March 1. Voting: March 4 through 18.
March 19 through April 22 – TBA. Opening: Friday, March 22, 5 to 8 pm
April 23 through May 20 – "The Mother/Earth Experience." Drop off date: Monday, April 22, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: Friday, April 26, 5 to 8 pm
May 21 through June 24 – "Spirit of Patriotism." Memories and depictions of American heroes. Drop off date: Monday, May 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: May 24, 5 to 8 pm
June 25 through July 22 – "Americana." America's History, Culture and Geography. Drop off date: Monday, June 24, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: Friday, June 28, 5 to 8 pm
July 23 through August 19 – Weston's Fiber Arts Show. Opening: Friday, July 26, 5 to 8 pm
August 20 through September 23 – "The Art of Music." Drop off date: Monday, August 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: Saturday, August 23, 5 to 8 pm
September 24 through October 21 – TBA. Opening: Friday, Sept. 27, 5 to 8 pm
October 22 through November 18 – "Hats." Drop off date: Monday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening: Friday, Oct. 25, 5 to 8 pm
November 19 through December 31 – "Mountain Arts Cooperative Winter Show."
