DeRoss-Carson

Carla Nicole DeRoss of Weed, daughter of Dan and Mary Beth DeRoss, was married to Thomas Phillips Carson of Covina, Calif. on June 23, 2012 at the Grenada Community Berean Church with Pastors John Wetzig, uncle of the bride, and Bill Hofer of the Weed Berean church officiating. More than 300 guests were in attendance.

The bride wore a full-length ivory silk gown covered with hand beaded alencon lace, and carried a bouquet of white roses, dark red callas, blue hydrangeas, yellow mums and a small Bible belonging to the groom’s mother.

Karen DeRoss, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily and Elizabeth DeRoss, sisters of the bride; Heidi Jensen, friend of the bride; and Christina Horton and Melissa Thomas, sisters of the groom. They wore gowns of wine colored silk shantung.

The five flower girls were nieces of the groom and the ring-bearer was John Byran Westfall, close friend of the bride.

Best man for his son was Dave Carson of Covina. Groomsmen were his brothers, Dave and Mark Carson; and six friends, all of southern California.

The wedding dinner, which included lasagna from the recipe of the bride’s grandmother, the late Alma DeRoss of Weed, was prepared and served by Mike and Donna Burns of Mount Shasta; and Mike and Debbie DeRoss of Weed.

The four-tier white cake was baked and decorated by the bride’s sister Karen DeRoss.

Music was provided by David and Amy Sprunger of Medford, Ore.
