Ready for a bit of holiday fun? The Saturday after Thanksgiving will be filled with small town festivities in McCloud for the 7th annual Dog, Pony and Bike Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30 beginning at noon.

Registration is at 10 a.m. at the end of Main Street.

The parade is open to anyone who wants to have fun in McCloud with their pets and family on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

All animals are welcome. Dress up your pets, stick ponies, bicycles, vintage cars, or build a float – and of course, wear a costume.

“Last year we had perfect sunny weather. We are hoping for more entries this year,” said Cindy Miller, part of the McCloud Chamber of Commerce who is sponsoring this event. “Come sun, rain or snow, we will be having our parade at noon on Saturday, November 30th.”

Santa Claus and CAL FIRE with Sparky the dog will be attending. There will be free apple cider and Christmas craft activities for the kids. All community organizations are welcome to sell food.

“We are hoping to get more people and organizations from other communities to participate. You cannot beat the price; it is free,” said Miller.

You can pre-register on the McCloud Chamber of Commerce’s website: For more information call the Other Side of the Mountain at 964-2909.
