Mount Shasta's 2016 Fourth of July celebration features four days of downtown entertainment that culminates on July 4th with the Walk/Run, parade and fireworks show over Lake Siskiyou.

Note, a previous version of the schedule incorrectly listed Walk/Run registration and t-shirt pick up at the Armory on Friday, July 1. Walk/Run registration is July 2 and 3 at the Armory from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and before the event on July 4 in downtown Mount Shasta from 6:30 to 8 a.m.

Friday, July 1

5 to 9 p.m. – Castle Street vendors.

5 to 9 p.m. – Downtown Chamber of Commerce Mixer, Sundown Poachers, Castle Street stage.

Saturday, July 2

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Walk/Run registration, t-shirt pick up at Armory on Everett Memorial Highway.

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Artisan Market and Street Faire, crafts and food booths, Castle Street and Mt. Shasta Blvd.

Noon to 9 p.m. – Live entertainment, Center Stage Mt. Shasta Blvd. and Castle Street.

Noon to 1 p.m. – California Repercussions Big band on Castle Street.

1 to 1:30 p.m. – ShastaYama demonstration, Castle Street Stage.

2 to 3:30 p.m. – Ron Lovelace Band, Castle Street Stage.

4 to 6 p.m. – Sound Advice, Castle Street Stage.

7 to 9 p.m. – Yogoman Burning Band, Castle Street Stage.

Sunday, July 3

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Walk/Run registration, t-shirt pick up at Armory on Everett Memorial Highway.

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Artisan Market and Street Faire, crafts and food booths, Castle Street and Mt. Shasta Blvd.

1 to 9 p.m. – Live entertainment, Center Stage, Mt. Shasta Blvd. and Castle Street.

1 to 3 p.m. – Jimmy Limo, Castle Street Stage.

3:30 to 6:30 p.m. – Straight Shooter, Castle Street Stage.

7 to 9 p.m. – Secret Handshake Society, Castle Street Stage.

Monday, July 4

6:30 to 8 a.m. – Register for July 4th Walk/Run and pick up pre-registration packages on Mt. Shasta Blvd. across from Wholesale Solar.

6:30 to 11 a.m. – Pancake Breakfast at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall, corner of Pine and Alma Streets. Cost: $10, adults; $5, kids under age 8. All-you-can-eat pancakes, served with eggs, ham, orange juice and coffee.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Castle Street vendors, crafts and food booths.

8:30 a.m. – Mountain Runners Walk/Run, Castle Street starting line.

Noon – Parade, “The Adventure Starts Here,” $1,000 first place best entry. Starts at S. Mt. Shasta Blvd. and Old McCloud Road (near Lai Lai Restaurant); ends at Ivy Street and N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. (near Lalo’s Restaurant). Grand Marshal is Mike Rodriguez.

• No pets allowed in the downtown area. No personal fireworks.

• Fireworks over Lake Siskiyou begin around 9:45 p.m. View from Mount Shasta Resort (no coolers, pets or personal fireworks); or Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort, $1 admission per person (no pets or personal fireworks).
