Final Mt. Shasta High performance of 'A Christmas Carol' is Friday

A female Scrooge is featured in Mount Shasta High School’s modernized version of Charles Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol.”

The curtain will open at 7 p.m. for the second and third of three performances Thursday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 1, on the MSHS stage.

Stephanie Schoonmaker plays E.B. Scrooge, a woman who spent her childhood in a group home, lost her only brother in Vietnam, clawed her way to the top of the business world, and has forgotten the true meaning and magic of Christmas – until the ghost of her former business partner Jacob Marley and a series of Christmas spirits help her remember.

General admission is $5; or $3, senior citizens, veterans and children under age 12. Children under age 6 will be admitted free of charge. The production is rated “E” for everyone.
