The Mt. Shasta Nordic Center’s 2nd annual “Wine & Dine for Valentine’s” fundraiser has been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9 at the Mount Shasta Community Building, 629 Alder Street in Mount Shasta. Doors open at 6 p.m.; with tapas-style dinner served at 6:30 p.m.

Take care of your Valentine’s gift early and join Mt. Shasta Nordic for an evening dedicated to the things loved most – fine wine, delicious food, great music and skiing.

This year’s event features three Siskiyou County-based musical acts – Rick Garrett, Blue Relish, and Wind Fields.

A dessert auction will follow dinner, provided by local pâtissiers and pâtissières. A variety of regional wines and craft beer will be available; as well as a diverse and unique silent auction spread, including ski experiences and gear, dinner at Siskiyou County restaurants, fine wines, art, photography, and more.

“It takes a village to run a Nordic Center. Wine & Dine is a great way to celebrate together and to help support the organization. Please come out to enjoy our local musicians, some great food and libations, and a chance to bid on some amazing auction items,” said MSNSO President Tim Loughlin. “I am extremely grateful to our local merchants for their generous donations, the event committee for their tireless efforts, and the community at large for their continued support.”

Tickets include a tapas dinner, one drink, a Nordic Center trail pass voucher, access to silent auction and dessert auction, and dancing the night away to live music.

Advance tickets are $30 each; $55 for couples. Tickets at the door are $35 or $60.

Advance tickets are available online at mtshastanordic.org/winedine and at The Fifth Season, 300 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. in Mount Shasta, (530) 926-3606.

All proceeds benefit the Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Organization and its Nordic programs and services.

The Mt. Shasta Nordic Ski Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community health and well-being by providing groomed cross-country ski trails and programs for a diverse population on the slopes of majestic Mt. Shasta.
