'Pirate's Life' musical on stage at Mount Shasta High

Mt. Shasta High School’s Advanced Drama class is presenting “A Pirate’s Life for Me,” a musical by Craig Sodaro with music and lyrics by Bill Francoer.

Described as a “fun-filled and energy-packed musical,” it is produced by drama teacher Sue Villarreal with much student effort.

Villarreal said students created the choreography, built and painted the set, created costumes, gathered the props and took an active leadership role in the class.

The cast features 32 sophomores, juniors and seniors and stars Maddy Green as Miss Sarah Huffington (aka the Pirate Queen) and Robby Palmer as Sir Roger Goodman (aka Captain Blood).

“A Pirate's Life for Me” will play April 7, 8 and 9 and April 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. in Mt. Shasta High School's Robert E. Novo Gymnasium. General admission is $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and children under 12. Children under age 12 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. The show is suitable for all ages.
