'Grease' opens April 27 at Mount Shasta High
The Mount Shasta High School Advanced Drama class and the Mount Shasta High School Jazz Band will perform “Grease” – a new ’50s rock-n-roll musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Performances are scheduled for April 27, 28, May 4, 5 and 6 in the MSHS Robert E. Novo gymnasium at 7 p.m. each night.
Grease is a 1950s coming of age musical drama centered around 10 students who attend Rydell High during their senior year. The plot revolves around a summer fling between Danny Zuko, leader of the Burger Palace Boys, and Sandy Dumbrowsky, a “new girl.”
The show runs a little over two hours and does contain some adult themes.
Tickets are $10, general admission; $8, under age 12, senior citizens and veterans. Children under age 6 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
