The Scott Valley Bank Summer Concerts 2018 season is set to kick off Friday, June 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Shastina’s Hoy Park with local R&B band Sound Advice.

An energetic five-piece band, Sound Advice has played all over the north state for the last 15 years. Their R&B/funk sounds will have the crowd out of their seats and dancing all night long, a press release states.

This family-friendly, free concert with lawn seating is sponsored by Scott Valley Bank along with Lake Shastina Property Owners Association, Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, Grocery Outlet of Weed, and the Vault Salon & Boutique.

Additional support is provided by Lake Shastina Public Works and season sponsors Fairchild Medical Center, Yreka Transfer, LLC, Etna Brewing Company, Buffalo Broadcasting, Mt. Shasta Area Newspapers, Siskiyou Daily News, Miner’s Inn, and Siskiyou Development.

The SVB Summer Concert Series has been a community fixture since 1996 when Scott Valley Bank, with local merchant and public support, began its Friday evening concerts.

Ushering in its 23rd season, SVB’s Summer Concert Series lineup is available by visiting under “News” or Scott Valley Bank on Facebook. Schedule cards are also available through the local business sponsors and at your local Scott Valley Bank branch.

This season, the series begins in Hoy Park, continues with five concerts in Yreka’s Miner Street Park before moving on to Main Street in Etna. As usual, the series will wrap up with support of the Mount Shasta Rotary Club’s Blackberry Festival music.
