The funny ladies' Golden Globe Awards hosting debut posted huge double-digit growths over last year's show.

Sunday's three-hour ceremony averaged 19.7 million viewers and a 6.4 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up 17 percent and 28 percent, respectively, from last year. It's the highest-rated and most-watched telecast since the 2007 ceremony, which drew 20 million viewers and a 6.5.

Buoyed by an NFL overrun, CBS saw bumps for The Good Wife (10 million, 1.9), which hit a season high in the demo, and The Mentalist (10.4 million, 2.0) scored its second-highest rating of the season.

On the flip side, ABC saw lows for Revenge (6.1 million, 2.0), Happy Endings (2.2 million, 1.0) and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (1.7 million, 0.8).Fox's whole lineup was also down from its football-boosted airings last week.

On cable, Showtime had even more to celebrate beyond its four Golden Globe wins. Shameless' Season 3 premiere at 9/8c was its highest-rated episode yet, grabbing 2 million viewers. House of Lies also enjoyed its highest-rated episode ever with 1.19 million viewers. Season 6 of Californication debuted to 1.07 million viewers, also up from its previous outing.

Double Globes  winner Girls, however, returned for Season 2 to 866,000 viewers, down from both its series premiere and the record-high 1 million viewers that tuned in for the finale. Enlightened pulled in 300,000 viewers, rising from its series premiere audience in October 2011.
