Will Joe Montana's Son Follow His Dad Into the NFL?
Nate Montana hopes to follow his famous father into the NFL, but he may not get his wish, according to NFL.com.
The son of Hall of Famer Joe Montana, Nate played in the NFL Super Regional Combine at Cowboys Stadium on Monday, but an NFL analyst is already pooh-poohing his chances. "It's going to be hard for him to transition to the next level," said Bucky Brooks, an NFL.com analyst who attended the game. Brooks calls the 23-year-old legacy a "longshot" whose arm isn't as strong as his father's. "His passes don't have zip. He has difficulty making pro throws."
Nate played for Notre Dame, his father's alma mater, as well as at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
