Party on! Excellent! As if!

Before voicing the titular ogre in Shrek, Mike Myers was the one and only Wayne of Saturday Night Live's fictional Wayne's World metalhead duo, alongside Dana Carvey as Garth. Myers and Carvey reunited in Beverly Hills Tuesday night for a special screening of 1992's Wayne's World and a Q&A.

Which SNL star is rumored to take Jimmy Fallon's job on Late Night?

Wayne's World bad guy Rob Lowe, SNL producer and creator Lorne Michaels, and director Penelope Spheeris joined Myers and Carvey at the screening. Other guests included co-star Tia Carrere, Lara Flynn Boyle, and Brian Doyle-Murray.

Acrimony between Myers and Carvey has long been a part of SNL lore. Carvey has said that Myers stole the voice of Dr. Evil from Austin Power: International Man of Mystery, from Carvey. "Dr. Evil" was a parody of producer Michaels' low-key-sinister voice. Any such bad vibes were downplayed Tuesday. Carvey and Myers previously reunited at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.

"To be honest with you, I don't remember that year [filming the movie] at all," Myers said at the panel Tuesday. "I remember finishing the film, then I remember my dad dying. Then I just remember Dana and I being strapped to the front of a rocket, and me putting on 25 pounds eating my way through it."
