Chris Brown Sentenced to 1,000 More Community Service Hours
The singer had already had his probation, stemming from assaulting his then-girlfriendRihanna in 2009, revoked by a judge in July after Brown was allegedly involved in hit-and-runs. On Friday, Brown's probation was reinstated as long as he completes the additional community service.
Brown was originally sentenced to 1,440 hours, but because of the forged records, any service he might have actually already completed will no longer count. Brown also must now be supervised by Los Angeles County officials, whereas before he was allowed to complete service in his home state of Virginia. Brown has the option to choose between highway cleanup, beach cleanup, probation alternative work services or graffiti removal.
The setback comes one day after Brown's recent hit-and-run case was dismissed.
Brown's probation is set to end in August 2014.
