Fans Start Petition to Resurrect Brian on Family Guy
A lot of people weren't laughing at Sunday's Family Guy, which shockingly killed off the family's beloved dog Brian.
In response, fans have created a Change.org petition asking Seth MacFarlane and producers to resurrect Brian, because not even The Sopranos' Tony Sirico, who voices the Griffins' new dog Vinnie, can replace the wisecracking mutt.
"Brian Griffin was an important part of our viewing experince. He added a witty and sophisticated element to the show. Family Guy and Fox Broadcasting will lose viewers if Brian Griffin is not brought back to the show," the petition reads.
"The writers of family guy [sic] didn't just kill off one of their creations, they killed off the dog who has lived in our homes for the last 15 years," it continues. "They killed the dog we all have come to love. They killed America's dog!"
As of Tuesday afternoon, the petition already has more than 45,000 supporters.
A new website claiming to count down to "a special announcement" from Brian at noon ET on Dec. 6 has also given fans hope that he might be coming back to life, but according to Fox, the site is a hoax and not affiliated with the show or the network.
Do you hope Brian comes back?
