You might not want to think about food after your holiday feast, but we've got five new Reno restaurants that demand your appetite's attention.

Our list includes everything from Vietnamese coffee and sandwiches to gourmet hot dogs and Korean cuisine.

Sip of Saigon

1272 Disc Dr., Sparks

New Vietnamese cafe and eatery in Sparks

This new Vietnamese coffee house in Sparks aims "to introduce Vietnamese cuisine and drinks to the community in an exciting, modern, and contemporary way," according to its website. Sip of Saigon, located in the old Isabel's Bakery space, specializes in Vietnamese drip coffee, banh mi sandwiches, pho, salads and a variety of pastries.

Koko's Korean Kitchen

1655 Robb Dr., Suite 2

Bibimbap is seen at Koko's Korean Kitchen in Reno on Nov. 24, 2021.

After long wait, Koko's Korean Teriyaki, a seasonal food tent, has opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Northwest Reno. Koko's specializes in Korean favorites, including its famed teriyaki chicken skewers.

Koko's is owned by Chongsuk Ko, who goes by the nickname Koko.

Koko's tent has sold its food at events in and around Reno for 14 years and will continue to do so.

"The change has definitely been weird and different for sure," Ko told the RGJ when asked about the new store. "However, both are great because it's something I am passionate about. They are both in the food industry but couldn't be more different."

"We are a women-owned and family-run restaurant, and I wouldn't have it any other way," Ko said.

Nevada Taco Grill

1771 Valley Rd.

Nevada Burrito

While not a new food concept, Nevada Taco Grill has recently opened its third location in the area. The restaurant is owned by Jose Ortiz Dimas, who started the taco biz two years ago.

NTG's signature items include The Nevada Burrito, a warm flour tortilla loaded with carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, french fries and melted jack-cheddar cheese.

Panera Bread

UNR Fitzgerald Student Services Building, 1664 N Virginia St.

September saw the unveiling of Reno's first Panera Bread, an event that locals had long and eagerly awaited. Located inside UNR's student services building, the Panera is open to both students and the public. It features most of Panera's typical offerings.

Doggy Dogs Gourmet Hot Dogs

5635 Meadowood Mall Cir.

This new spot in the Meadowood Mall keeps it simple with gourmet dogs and a variety of "dirty" fries loaded with chili, cheese and hotdog bits.
