HOLLYWOOD — On screen and off, Wonder Woman prefers to wear power red.

At Thursday night's world premiere of Wonder Woman in Los Angeles, title star Gal Gadot arrived in a glittering ruby Givenchy gown – one we think Diana Prince would approve of. Gadot even wore flats!

The superhero movie's debut at the Pantages Theater was a special one, especially because the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, showed up to offer her support. Gadot, of course, paid her respects.

Just look at these two.

On the blue carpet, excitement over the female-led comic book adaptation finally happening was palpable. "Wonder Woman has had a cult following for a long time, so I'm so excited that she's finally getting a movie," said director Patty Jenkins.

We couldn't help but wonder ... what poster was on Chris Pine's childhood wall? "I had a beautiful picture of Marilyn Monroe – and Bob Dylan," the Wonder Woman star told USA TODAY.

The more you know. Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2.
