Clothing give-away -- Free Clothing Give-Away, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hope Community Church, 974 Lassen Lane, Mount Shastra. Everyone is welcome to take as many clothes as they would like. Boutique & luncheon -- Ladies of Weed Holy Family Catholic Church will sponsor its annual Spring Fling Boutique and Salad Luncheon in the church hall. Boutique, 11 a.m.; luncheon, noon. Pre-sale luncheon tickets: 938-4613. Boutique will also be open Sunday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Fishermen’s dinner -- Hosted by Mt. Shasta Firefighters Association at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall, Mount Shasta. Doors open, 5:30 p.m.; dinner, 6 p.m.; auction and games to follow.Menu: tri-tip, Melo’s homemade raviolis, green beans, bread, green salad. Cost: $20, each; beer and wine, $3; Pepsi products, $1. Tickets at Mount Shasta City Hall and Fire Department.

Swing into Spring -- Dance and dessert auction, 6:30 to 10 p.m., Mount Shasta City Park. Featuring Evelyn Horner’s Front Porch Swing Band, line dance demos, and ballroom swing dance lessons. Suggested donation: $5. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels program. Info: 938-2167.

Chili feast -- 10th annual Lake Shastina Chili Feast and Contest, 6 p.m., Lake Shastina Community Center. Serving 2011’s winning recipe. Green salad, bowls, dessert plates, plastic utensils, coffee, tea, punch provided. Donations of cornbread, salad dressings, desserts appreciated. Door prizes and raffle.
