Forest Service asphalt project in Mt. Shasta area

Beginning today, June 27, 2018, and lasting several weeks, the Shasta-Trinity National Forest will be working on an asphalt patching project on Powder Hill Road (43N49), within the Shasta-McCloud Management Unit.

The work is beginning approximately 3.4 miles north east of Powder Hill’s intersection with Harris Springs Rd., and will continue for nine miles. Project hours are expected to be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Motorist are advised to keep a sharp lookout for road construction and heavy equipment working in the area signs.
