Steve Doerschuk

Bengals (1-0) at Browns (0-1)

Kickoff  1 p.m., Cleveland Browns Stadium.

TV  CBS with Bill McAtee, Steve Beuerlein.

Line  Bengals by 7.

Forecast  Sunny with a high of 67.

Series  The Bengals lead, 34-33.

Last Sunday  The Browns fell, 34-7, to Pittsburgh, losing for the seventh time in eight games.

Monday night  After ending 2006 with three straight losses, the Bengals opened 2007 with a 27-20 win over defending AFC North champ Baltimore.

Dramatic finish  The Ravens had a chance to tie with a minute left before former Brown Michael Myers’ interception on third-and-goal from the 2.

Main men  Carson Palmer was 20-of-34 for 194 yards with TDs to Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. RB Rudi Johnson was held to 50 yards on 18 carries.

Breakout Bengal  DE Robert Geathers bruised Baltimore with an interception, a sack and a forced fumble. The fourth-year pro had a breakout 2006 with 10 1/2 sacks.

Chad being Chad  Chad Johnson promises a unique celebration, including but limited to jumping into the Dawg Pound, if he scores today. After catching a 39-yard TD pass against Baltimore, Johnson broke out a Pro Football Hall of Fame replica blazer. He had five catches for 95 yards.

Dink if he has to  T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught nine passes for just 50 yards, but that was Carson Palmer’s way of taking what the defense gave. The Bengals had nine passing first downs and just three via the run.

Next Sunday  The Bengals play at Seattle. The Browns play at Oakland.
