Prep games still a go despite weather

According to the Neosho High School office, several sports activities are still on tap for tonight.

The ice storm that hit the region Sunday and Monday morning canceled classes at Neosho, East Newton, Diamond and Seneca schools Monday. School was canceled today at Seneca and Diamond.

Tonight’s home  match against Nevada for the Neosho wrestling team has been postponed.

The Neosho Lady Wildcats basketball team was slated to host Aurora on Monday, but that game was pushed back to Friday, starting at 6 p.m.

Tonight’s varsity and junior varsity doubleheaders for both the Neosho High School boys and girls basketball teams against Seneca are still on, according to NHS officials as of 10 a.m.

Also, Crowder College’s makeup game with North Arkansas Community College scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight has been postponed again.

On Monday, McDonald County had a boys basketball game at home against Joplin called off.

McDonald County coach Scott Austin noted there has been no make-up date for that game.?

He also cautioned that it was unlikely that the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs would play Tuesday at Webb City, because that school was without power.
