UConn men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun did not attend practice Monday, according to spokesman Kyle Muncy.

Muncy did not specify if the Huskies' 22-year head coach was feeling any better or worse after being hospitalized Saturday with flu-like symptoms, and it was not apparent whether Calhoun would attend UConn's practice Tuesday morning.

The Huskies (11-4, 2-2 Big East) host Providence on Thursday at the XL Center.

Calhoun was taken to the UConn Health Center at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington after UConn's 72-69 loss to Georgetown on Saturday night for precautionary reasons and was released before midnight. Sunday, Muncy announced Calhoun was improving and home resting.

Calhoun wasn't on the sidelines for the game, marking the 19th time the coach has either missed a contest or left during one for health reasons in his time with the Huskies.
