Suspect found napping in church he's accused of robbing
A West Roxbury man was arrested after he allegedly robbed and vandalized a church. Police found him napping in the lower level of the church.
Boston police said that on Sunday morning they responded to Most Precious Blood church after report of a breaking and entering. Police said the found a broken stained-glass window, missing rugs and an open safe.
Police said witnesses lead the officers to the suspect, who had apparently decided to take a nap, downstairs in the lower church.
Police charged Charles Martin, 47, of West Roxbury with breaking and entering a building with intent to commit a felony, destruction or injury of personal property, dangerous weapons unlawfully carried, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer (with injuries), and possession of Class E drugs.
